For the disinfection of professional instruments in cosmetology there is a PROTRAINING MODE, because the manipulation during the procedure can be associated with the violation of the skin.
METAL INSTRUMENTS
The first step is to disinfect the instruments
Disinfect instruments should be disinfected in 2% working solution of “Estilodez” concentrate, 1 liter of which is prepared taking into account the following proportions: 20 ml of the concentrate for 980 ml of water at room temperature. In total 1 liter of working solution shall be obtained.
This operation is carried out by complete immersion in the working solution for 5 minutes.
The second step is pre-sterilization cleaning, or PSR
After disinfecting for 30 seconds, you perform PRS of each instrument using a brush in the same solution in which disinfection was carried out. This is a manual cleaning method.
If an ultrasound bath is available in the room, you can use the mechanized method of FIU.
Then rinse the instrument under running water for 1-2 minutes.
After pre-sterilization cleaning it is necessary to test for hidden blood. The azopyramine test will help in this. This manipulation shows how well the instrument has been washed and cleaned.
If the sample is positive, it is necessary to disinfect the instrument once more, then the PSR and make sure that the sample is negative.
After that, be sure to fill out a quality control log of the PCP.
Dry the instrument uncovered on a clean disposable cloth until it is completely dry.
Step three, sterilization
The instrument should be packed into special bags for sterilization which indicate the contents, date, time of sterilization and expiration date of the sterilized instrument, the signature of the person who performed the PCP.
This is followed by sterilization of the instrument.
Sterilization packaging is placed in an autoclave at 134 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes (or another program in case of gentle sterilization) or in a dry-heat chamber at 180 degrees Celsius for 60 minutes.
Special external indicators are used to monitor the sterilizers, they are placed inside the chamber on a tray at five key points (on the corners and in the center).
After the sterilization package with the instruments is stored in a drawer of the work table or in a UV cabinet. This device allows the sterility of the instruments to be preserved.
Next, the sterilizer quality control log should be filled out.
In addition to tools, trays are subject to mandatory sterilization.
COSMETOLOGY BRUSHES
Brushes should be rinsed under running water to wash away residues of cosmetic products. After that the instrument is immersed in a 2% working solution of “Estilodez” concentrate for 5 minutes. At the end of the manipulation the instruments are rinsed under running water for 1-2 minutes and dried open on a clean disposable cloth until completely dry. Brushes are stored in bags for disinfected instruments in a desk drawer or in a UV cabinet.
INJECTION NEEDLES
After the procedure, needles should be immersed for disinfection and further disposal in a special container filled with 1% working solution of “Estilodez”. Containers are replaced once every 72 hours (3 days).
Containers with the contents must be disposed of in special yellow bags for garbage class B in the tank for the collection of medical waste in the temporary waste storage facility.
All manipulations are carried out with gloves on.
